Swimco is back in Calgary and is now open in the heart of WestHills Towne Centre. When the pandemic hit in March 2020, their stores closed, and like many retail businesses, they were forced to temporarily layoff 250 people. As stores remained closed, Swimco continued to provide quality swimwear to customers across Canada through their online web store.
With the business environment constantly changing over the last two years, Swimco is thrilled to again have an in-person location open in Calgary!
In 1968, Corinne Forseth’s daughter could not find a swimsuit to match her swim team teammates. Her efforts to locate that swimsuit resulted in the beginning of a mail order swimwear business that helped families find matching swimwear for their children across western Canada. In 1975, Swimco was officially born. The family business is now owned and operated by Lori, Corrine’s daughter and their family members, Steve Forseth and husband Dave Bacon.
Swimco offers women’s, men’s and kid’s swimwear for every body and everybody. They have suits ranging from size 4 - 26 for women, 28 - 44 for men and 3 months - 16 years for kids. Swimco also carries fitness swimwear and all types of fitness and beach accessories. When walking into Swimco, a customer can expect a hands-on experience with a fit expert who is knowledgeable about product and sizing. Swimco provides one-on-one fittings at WestHills, which can be booked through customerservice@swimco.com.
What’s on trend for this season? Texture - ribbed and knitted, bold colours, cutouts and cold shoulder underwire, which is a nostalgic nod to the 80’s and 90’s.
