Supporting Local Calgary Businesses

During the last few weeks, our city has seen a change in pace, which is extremely hard on our small business owners. It is so important during this time that we come together as a community and support the businesses around us.

At WestHills, some of our shops have temporarily closed, or reduced hours for safety reasons. Here are a few ways we can continue to support these businesses!

Social Media

Follow your favourite shop on social media! The easiest way you can support is liking their posts, sharing it with family and friends and commenting. Perhaps they have an online sale? Or for some they are moving their services online during this time. Be sure to tag them so they can see your post. The more you share their news, the more traction it builds for them!

Gift Certificates

Why not buy gift certificates now to use later? Perhaps stock up on your loved ones favourite place? This is a simple way to help during these times and can make a huge impact on their day-to-day business!

Buy Online

Many small businesses are setting up to purchase goods online. From the comfort of your home, you can shop and keep everyone safe. Now is the perfect time to ‘shop’ on your own time without any distractions. It has been amazing to see the creative ways owners have been able to give access to their products.

Order Takeout

Do you have a favourite restaurant or locally-owned grocery store? If take out is the only option, make it a family movie night. When you are planning out your meals for the coming weeks, pop into your local grocery store to stock up!

Thank you #yyc for your continued support throughout this crisis! Our tenants appreciate all you are doing and will continue to do. To keep up to date with information on our retailers, follow us at @westhillstownecentre.
